Community engagement at the grassroots remains central to effective public health delivery.
On 12 March 2026, the team conducted a field interaction with Panchayati Raj Institution representatives at 1075 Burman LP School, Bhubandar Tea Estate, Cachar district, Assam as part of a training session, in collaboration with Cachar Cancer Hospital and Research Centre (CCRC). The session focused on strengthening awareness around early detection and encouraging participation in structured screening initiatives within the community.
As part of the activity, Community Based Assessment Checklist (CBAC) forms were completed to identify individuals at potential risk, enabling systematic follow up and referral. Additionally, 10 HPV samples were collected, contributing to early screening efforts for cervical cancer.
Such initiatives play a crucial role in improving health seeking behaviour, facilitating early diagnosis, and strengthening the linkage between community level interventions and clinical care pathways.
